The actor tweeted that his lungs were full of smoke and that he climbed down three floors
Actor Kamal Haasan's tweets early on Saturday morning, left his fans across the world anxious. A fire that he says broke out in his East Coast residence forced him to hurriedly evacuate the third floor.
At 3.25 am, he tweeted that he had escaped a fire in his residence and that his lungs were full of smoke. The actor reportedly climbed down from the third floor. He thanked his staff and added that nobody was hurt. His tweet however, created ripples of worry amongst his fans who immediately began enquiring about the actor's safety. In an effort to allay their fears, the actor tweeted again to assure them he was safe.

This incident comes only two weeks after Kamal Haasan’s older brother Chandra Haasan passed away following a massive cardiac arrest. The actor has been facing a series of mishaps off late. In 2016, he suffered a fracture after he hurt himself falling off the staircase at his residence. Later that year, his long time live-in companion Gauthami moved away from his residence citing irreconcilable differences.
The star is working on two projects, Sabaash Naidu and Vishwaroopam 2 right now. While Sabaash Naidu is based on the character, Balram Naidu, he had had essayed in Dasavatharam, Vishwaroopam 2 is the sequel to Vishwaroopam that released
Both films are directed by Kamal Haasan himself and he plays the lead role in it. Vishwaroopam 2 and Sabaash Naidu is likely to hit the silver screens this year and Kamal is in the process of reviving his dream project, Maruthanayagam, which was shelved several years ago due to financial issues.
